Shopify Stores
Fast-launch stores on customised themes with a strict app diet, INR pricing, UPI-ready checkout and product data clean enough for your team to manage themselves.
SELL DIRECT. KEEP THE MARGIN.
Ludhiana knits the hosiery, Jalandhar stitches the sports goods, and a huge share of the country's cycle parts ship out of Punjab — yet most of that margin dies in the distribution chain. We build D2C stores for manufacturers and brands who want customers paying MRP directly to them, with UPI, COD, GST invoicing and shipping wired in from day one.
THE D2C OPPORTUNITY
Walk through Ludhiana's hosiery cluster before winter and you'll see cartons leaving for every state in India. A track suit that retails at ₹1,299 online might leave the factory gate near ₹500 — the rest disappears into distributors, marketplace commissions and someone else's brand name. The same story plays out with Jalandhar sports goods, cycle parts from the Gill Road belt and export-surplus garments across Punjab. That gap is why manufacturers hire an e-commerce website development company in India: not to get a website, but to open a direct counter where the customer pays full price to the people who actually made the product.
Here's the uncomfortable part nobody prints on a brochure: most manufacturer-owned stores never sell. They sit. The owner paid for a build two years ago, gets a couple of orders a month, and quietly went back to depending on dealers. The difference between the two outcomes is rarely the design — it's the plumbing underneath.
A store that sells loads in about three seconds on a mid-range Android on 4G, takes payment the way India pays — UPI first, cards and COD right behind — issues a GST invoice your CA won't argue with, and confirms every order on WhatsApp within minutes. A store that sits has none of that. It has a slider.
If your current store is sitting, send us the link — we'll reply on WhatsApp with an honest verdict: fix it, or rebuild it.
WHAT WE BUILD
One team handles the store, the payments, the shipping and the traffic — so nothing falls between three different vendors.
Fast-launch stores on customised themes with a strict app diet, INR pricing, UPI-ready checkout and product data clean enough for your team to manage themselves.
For big or complicated catalogues — size-colour grids, B2B rate lists, dealer logins. You own the code, the data and the hosting outright.
Razorpay or PayU with UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets — plus COD with order-value caps and confirmation rules that filter out time-pass orders.
Shiprocket or Delhivery wired into the store: live rates, pin-code checks, auto-generated labels and tracking links sent to the customer on WhatsApp.
Marketplace listings synced with store inventory so a sale on one channel never oversells another. Marketplaces for reach, your own store for margin.
Product schema, collection pages built around what buyers actually search, and a Google Shopping feed submitted before launch — not six months after.
LAUNCH PLAN
We sit with your rate list — factory gate price, landed cost, courier cost per kg — and decide which SKUs are actually profitable to ship D2C. Some products should stay wholesale. We'll say so.
You get a one-page comparison — Shopify versus WooCommerce for your specific catalogue, with three-year running costs of each. You sign off before we build anything.
Store built, gateway live, courier integrated. We place real test orders end to end — one prepaid, one COD, one return — before you ever share the link with a customer.
Store SEO goes live with the store and the Shopping feed is already approved, so the first campaigns switch on the same day — not a month later.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Ask any shopify website development company and Shopify is always the answer; ask a WordPress shop and it's always WooCommerce. Both are wrong often enough that we put the decision on paper, with costs, before writing a line of code.
Shopify earns its rent when you want to launch in weeks, your catalogue is a few hundred SKUs or fewer, and you'd rather pay a monthly fee than ever think about hosting, updates or security. WooCommerce wins when the catalogue is large or complicated — hosiery size-colour matrices, B2B pricing tiers, dealer-only rates — or when you want a one-time build cost instead of platform rent plus app subscriptions that quietly stack up every month.
And sometimes the answer is neither. If you sell machine tools to businesses on quotation, you don't need a cart — you need a fast catalogue site with WhatsApp enquiry buttons, which our website development team in Ludhiana builds every month. One more truth: no platform sells by itself. A store without traffic is a shop with the shutter down, which is why every launch here is planned alongside our Google Ads team, with Shopping campaigns mapped to your margins before the site goes live. When you compare any e-commerce website development company in India, ask who plans the traffic — the theme is the easy part.
STANDARD FITMENT
Not add-ons. Not a higher package. Standard.
WhatsApp your product list to +91 89680 00118 — a PDF, an Excel sheet, even photos of the rate card work. We'll reply with a platform recommendation and a fixed written quote, in Punjabi, Hindi or English.
FAQ
Shopify is better when you want a fast launch and zero server headaches, and you accept a monthly platform fee for that convenience. WooCommerce is better for large or complex catalogues, B2B pricing and full control over GST invoicing — with a one-time build cost but hosting and updates to manage. We put three-year running costs of both on paper for your actual catalogue, and you decide before we build.
Four components, not one: the build itself, apps or plugins, payment gateway charges of roughly 2% per transaction, and monthly platform or hosting fees. As working ranges, a WooCommerce store typically lands between ₹75,000 and ₹1.5 lakh one-time, while a Shopify build starts lower upfront but carries around ₹2,000-₹6,000 per month in platform and app fees. We quote fixed, in writing, with the recurring column filled in — because that column is where most budgets get surprised.
COD still drives a big share of orders outside the metros, so switching it off costs real sales. We set rules instead: order-value caps on COD, exclusions for pin codes where returns run high, and WhatsApp or OTP confirmation before dispatch so time-pass orders get filtered before they cost you courier charges. COD remittance is tracked through the courier dashboard, so you can see exactly when the cash reaches your account.
Plan for three to four weeks for a typical Shopify store and five to eight for a WooCommerce build with a large catalogue. The honest bottleneck is almost never the development — it's product photos, descriptions and final pricing from your side. That's exactly why week one is a catalogue workshop: get the data sorted early and the timeline holds.
Not instead — alongside, in the right order. Marketplaces bring ready traffic but take commission, keep the customer relationship and can suspend a listing overnight. Your own store keeps the margin and the customer data, which is what repeat orders are built on. We usually run both: marketplaces for discovery, your store for repeat purchases and higher-margin bundles, with inventory synced so neither channel oversells.
Catalogue photography is specialist studio work we don't do in-house — our on-location shoots cover ad creatives and reels, not product catalogues. We help you line up a local product photographer, or set up your own staff to shoot on a phone with a lightbox and a shot list from us. Editing, background cleanup, compression and alt text we handle — because a 4 MB photo will undo every speed optimisation in the build.
